Pieter holds a master degree in Commercial Science, specialization Tax from the HUB He is working within the Tax Enabled ERP team within in Belgium. As such he has experience in International indirect tax consulting, optimizing and streamlining transaction flows, improving indirect tax as well as pan-European compliance of global organizations. Pieter has assisted on multiple ERP implementations and reviews of ERP systems, from an indirect tax point of view.

He is a tax solutions architect who specializes in deploying the latest technologies for effective global tax determination and reporting. He has led multiple full cycle deployments in Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America including Brazil across different ERPs. He has extensive experience with global Value Added Tax (“VAT”) and Withholding Tax (“WHT”) requirements, tax consulting, advisory, and compliance.

Shantanu has been in SAP for over 14 years and currently leads a host of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) enablement, demand generation and customer support programs for EMEA. His particular interest is industry usecases and innovation related to the SAP S/4HANA transformation.
