Fabienne Bijsmans and Ferhan Ersen of dsm-firmenich, will present AP Automation – How dsm-firmenich are using Meridian for correct VAT determination in multiple SAP instances. Nazar Zaidi from Meridian will also outline how to build a business case for tax transformation.

What are the current challenges facing SAP managers and tax departments? We welcome you as we set the scene to discuss this exciting and challenging topic. We will quickly introduce ourselves and outline what we would like to get out of the day.

    An overview of the current and future developments of the increased use of e- invoicing (pre/post clearance models) together with real time reporting requirements.

    How the acceleration of e invoicing/real time reporting in the various EU member states interacts with the VIDA proposals or doesn’t.

    The challenges facing the tax function in adapting to these changes and the increased importance of the role data integrity plays in all aspects of the VAT compliance processes starting from VAT determination right through to real time reporting/filing of the VAT returns.

    PwC will discuss the importance of data quality, the limitations of SAP for tax determination and the use of a tax engine/add-on.

    Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA
    TRAIN: The train is the quickest way to get to Bijlmer ArenA from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport taking only 13-14 minutes. Intercity trains run up to 4x hourly with final destination Nijmegen or Venlo.

    METRO: There is a direct metro service (line 54) from Amsterdam Central metro station to Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA. The metro runs more frequently than the train and the trip also takes 16 minutes.

    Amsterdam Bijlmer-ArenA is easily reached by road being close to the A2 and A9 motorways.

    There is a Park and Ride (P+R) car park at ArenA with spaces for 500 cars. The address is Burg. Stramanweg 130, 1101 EP Amsterdam.
